iPhone Rewind button does not work properly

On the iPhone's iPod, the rewind |<< button does not always rewind to the Start Time for a bird song track. So, you may hear the bird name narration. For bird song tracks that originally had two birds per track, you may also hear the wrong bird song. That is, you might hear the first bird song on the track rather than the second. (The iPhone will continue to play the entire track, including the second bird song.)

The error occurs when you press rewind |<< when a bird song is playing. In this case, you were intending to back up to the beginning of the bird song, but the iPhone backs up all the way to the beginning of the track, ignoring the Start Time that birdJam Maker assigned to the track.

The work-around is to press Forward >>| to go to the next track, then press Rewind |<< to go back to the prior track. In this case, the Start Time for the track is respected and things work as expected.

This bug has been reported to Apple and we hope the bug will be fixed in the next update to the iPhone's software.

Yes, birdJam bird songs run on the Apple iPhone as well as the iPod Touch. Of course, we had to run right out and get iPhones the very first week (although we didn't camp out so we could buy them the first night).

iPhones are only available through Apple and AT&T, so if you want birdJam bird songs on an iPhone, you can load it just like your iPod or you can send it to us to load for you. We do carry the iPod Touch in our online store.
